The paperback's cover art looks even better in person, and the pages have that nice, crisp new-book smell. I flew through the first three stories in one sitting, and I'm already hooked on Celaena's ruthless yet complicated character.
Celaena's voice pulls you in from the first story and doesn't let go—the way she bristles against Arobynn's control feels raw and real. The paperback's pages are sturdy enough to survive a couple of rereads, which I've already done twice.
This paperback collects all five novellas, so you get the full arc of Celaena’s early missions without hunting down separate editions. The binding feels sturdy for a book this size, and the fast pacing made it easy to burn through in a couple of sittings.
