Didn't expect the dark academia meets Legendborn comparison to actually hold up, but the magic system and the whole bloody boarding school setup had me hooked by chapter three. The signed title page was a nice bonus too. Already counting down for book two.

The signature on the title page is genuine, not a printed stamp, which made opening the package way more exciting. Dark academia with a bloody edge, exactly the Ninth House vibe I was hoping for.

The book arrived in pristine condition, and the signed page is a lovely touch—the author's signature has real personality to it. I tore through the first hundred pages last night; the dark academia atmosphere is exactly as intense as the starred reviews promised.
