The lightning and quivering ground in the opening scene pulled me right back into Meg's world—it’s a satisfying end to the quintet that started with *A Wrinkle in Time*. I’d forgotten how much I enjoy L’Engle’s way of blending time travel with real emotion.
The final chapter of this series wraps things up beautifully, and L'Engle's prose still gives me chills during the lightning-strike opening. I read the whole Time Quintet in order and this paperback held up well to being shoved in my bag for a week of commuting.
