Iorek Byrnison's return gave me chills, and the way the story weaves back through the threads from The Golden Compass feels so earned. The final confrontation had me holding my breath, and I finished the whole trilogy in a single weekend.

I stayed up way too late finishing this because the pacing just pulls you along from Lyra’s world to Will’s, and the final confrontation with Lord Asriel is genuinely tense. The return of Iorek Byrnison adds that weighty, grounded presence the story needs. A proper, earned ending to the trilogy.
