The Tenniel illustrations in this edition are incredibly crisp—you can see every fine line of the original wood engravings. I’ve been reading it aloud, and the sturdy binding lays flat without cracking, which makes it perfect for page-turning.
The paper stock has a wonderful weight and texture, making the reproduction of those woodblock engravings feel truly archival. I flipped through it twice just to admire the clarity of the line art.
The illustrations in this BOW edition are stunning—the detail and clarity really make Tenniel's original engravings pop off the page. I'm especially impressed by how faithfully the prints were reproduced, making it feel like a true collector's item.
