These engravings capture a depth of detail and subtlety of expression that was lost due to poor reproduction in earlier editions. Featuring an afterword by Peter Glassman detailing how the engravings were created, lost, found, and finally used to create this edition and a dust jacket featuring one of Tenniel’s classic pictures, hand-colored by Caldecott Medalist Paul O.
