The illustrations are reproduced so vividly you can almost see the brushstrokes, and the amount of behind-the-scenes material on his creative process is incredible. I’ve spent hours flipping through it myself before even handing it over to the kids.

Bought this for my niece's birthday and ended up reading half of it myself before wrapping it. The way it walks through his creative process across nearly three decades of picturebooks is fascinating, and the production quality is gorgeous.

The illustrations in this are absolutely gorgeous, every page is packed with his signature tissue-paper collages in full color. I've been reading it to my daughter before bed and we both get lost in the artwork, it's like a mini museum in book form.
