We checked this out from the library first, but my toddler loved Leonard's expressive body language so much we had to buy our own copy—the way he communicates with his human is just too sweet.

My cat-obsessed nephew couldn't stop giggling at the part where Leonard says "Stay!" to his human. The way the two cats connect without sharing a language feels so true to how our own pets make friends at the window.

The way Leonard tries to communicate with his human with just one word really captured my kid's attention during story time. We've already read it three nights in a row.
