遠く離れた冷たい海の底で、人魚のオフィディアは自分の櫛が持ち去られたことを感じ取る。人間を憎みながらも、彼女の魔法は取引を必要としていた。櫛と引き換えに、願いをひとつ叶えるという取引を。
しかし、ケラが最も望むのは、母が生き返ること。その大きな願いは、さらに大きな代償を伴うことになる……。
The signed bookplate was a lovely touch, and the story’s blend of grief with mermaid vengeance kept me turning pages late into the night. I felt every impossible wish right alongside the main character.
The Caribbean folklore woven through this story felt so vivid I could almost hear the ocean between pages, and the signed bookplate made it feel extra special for my collection. I finished it in two sittings, completely pulled in by the grieving girl’s journey and that vengeful mermaid’s complexity.
